Advisory Board
This Advisory Board helps the school achieve excellence both institutionally and in its program for students. Comprised of community leaders, clergy members, key parent leaders, and alumni, the Advisory Board provides advice and counsel to the President, carries the school’s message to its many publics, and strengthens the school’s external relationships. Ultimate school governance is vested in the Roman Catholic Bishop of Fall River and his designee, the Superintendent of Schools.

Mr. Holt holds degrees from Northeastern University and Williams College Graduate School of Banking. David recently retired after spending 50 years in commercial banking in both the greater Boston area and 13 years in Beverly Hills, California. He and his wife, Karen, have been strong supporters of private and Catholic school education sending their two sons through these programs which culminated in them graduating from St. John's Prep, Danvers, Pingree School, Hamilton, St. Michael's College, and Harvard College. Their grand-niece, Gabby, completed three years at St. Margaret's school graduating from the 2nd grade. She is excited and looking forward to enrolling in St. Francis Xavier and St. John Paul II in the future.

Mr. Keavy is the founding President/Principal of Pope John Paul II High School and, in 2013, was named Head of School of St. John Paul II High School and St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School.
He is a member of the Commission on Independent Schools of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and has led numerous Visiting Committees at Catholic high schools throughout New England.
Previously, Mr. Keavy served as principal of Cleveland’s Padua Franciscan High School, a 1100-student school. He also taught and ministered in Catholic schools and service agencies in Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Keavy holds a B.A. from Assumption College (Politics, Philosophy), an M.A. from Boston College (Philosophy), and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

Mrs. Kelley is in her 18th year at St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School. A former SFXP English teacher, she currently serves as principal and study skills teacher. Mrs. Kelley is a graduate of Regis College and continues to work toward earning her Masters’ Degree in Catholic School Administration through the University of Dayton. She and her family are parishioners of St. Pius X Church.

A licensed attorney for 28 years and a long time community and government affairs professional. Mr. McGrath served as President of the MA Deputy Sheriffs Association and Chief Deputy Sheriff in Suffolk County for over 10 years. He also served on the Executive Staff of two Sheriffs and the Massachusetts State Auditor. McGrath has led community relations efforts on several projects including Cape Cod. He has served as statewide and Regional Director for political campaigns as well as many local, regional and national campaigns in various capacities. Married to Mary McGrath and father to Owen currently an 8th-grade student at SFXP.

The Hon. Therese Wright
District Court Judge

District Court Judge
Judge Wright was appointed as a judge of the District Court Department of the Massachusetts Trial Court in 2006. She currently serves as a Regional Administrative Judge and sits in the Barnstable District Court. A graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Judge Wright spent the majority of her career, prior to her appointment to the bench, as an Assistant District Attorney for Plymouth County. She has served as a lawyer coach for the JPII Mock Trial Team for four years and is a proud parent of a graduate of SFXP and JPII.
