Grade 6 Field Trip to Harvard University

Tuesday, December 5 Grade 6 will take a field trip to Harvard University. They will be visiting the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. The students will participate in two workshops. Exploring Evolution, explores evolution through the examination of museum specimens, discussion, and scientific reasoning.  Foragers to Farmers, utilizes primary sources to compare nomadic hunting and gathering to peoples to sedentary farming peoples during the Neolithic period.

BREAKFAST WITH THE LIONS

Grade 8 To Visit St. John Paul II High School On November 8, grade eight students will visit JPII from 9:00 to 10:30. JPII students from the leadership organization “Reach Out” will address the value of being involved in school activities and managing the balance of academics with extra-curricular activities. Student leaders representing academic clubs, campus ministry, performing arts, visual arts, co-curricular activities, and athletic teams will be leading discussions and answering questions.  SFXP students will be joined by eighth graders from St. Pius X School and St. Margaret Regional School.

Class of 2018 Visits Camp Burgess

On September 14 the class will be taking part in an adventure program at Camp Burgess in Sandwich.  Participation in this program will help students learn to solve problems, make decisions, set and achieve goals, develop communication and cooperation skills, and build trust.  These objectives will be accomplished in an atmosphere that is challenging, supportive, and fun.
