Dear SFXP Families, As summer comes to an end, I would like to welcome back all student-athletes, parents, and coaches. I am excited to begin my second year as middle school Athletic Director and look forward to seeing our Blue Angels represent Saint Francis on the field, course, and court. This fall, our boys and girls varsity teams will be sporting new uniforms. Our fall sports season will begin soon and it is important that all student-athletes return completed permission forms that were sent to families this summer. These forms will be kept on file for the school year and all students planning to participate in SFXP athletics, regardless of the season, should return this form at the beginning of the school year. No student-athlete will be permitted to play until they return the permission form. This fall season, SFXP will offer boys and girls soccer and co-ed cross country. Our grade 6-8 girls will have the opportunity to participate in the JPII volleyball program (grades 6-12) and our grade 8 boys and girls may play on the JPII golf team. Sign-ups for SFXP sports (soccer and cross country) will take place during the first week of school from August 29th-31st during lunch. The fall sports season will begin with cross country practice and soccer try-outs on Tuesday, September 5th. SFXP has a no cut policy and try-outs are held to place students on teams appropriate for their skill level. If you have any further questions about our athletics program, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Alyssa Walsh Middle School Athletic Director firstname.lastname@example.org
